Meltric's Decontactor Series products are a combination plug and
receptacle and disconnect switch in the same device. With their unique
ability to withstand high in-rush current and their compact, watertight
and dead front design, they are the perfect choice for the “line of
sight” disconnect required for motors and other inductive or resistive
loads.
Each Decontactor is UL/CSA horsepower and switch rated and has at least
a 65kA short circuit make and withstand rating. They can be installed in
a number of ways, making it easy to accommodate the requirements of the
application and preferences
of the user.
DSN -
Choose the DSN for it’s NEMA 4X watertight rating, it’s compact size and
it’s lightweight design.
DSN casings are made of fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic polyester
which provides resistance to shock, chemicals and UV rays. Plugs and
receptacles are available for applications up to 60 amps and 600 volts.
DS -
Choose the DS for it’s rugged, heavy-duty construction and/or it’s high
amp range (100 amps at 600 volts, or 200 amps at 480 volts).
Depending on the model DS casings are made of coated zinc aluminum alloy
or fiberglass reinforced thermoplastic polyester. The standard DS has a
NEMA 3R watertight rating.
DB -

Choose the DB for it’s high horsepower range (up to 60 hp), it’s
IP67 rating, it’s rugged construction, and it’s arc blowing system
and internal spring loaded switch operator. DB’s were designed
specifically for the harsh duty of handling inductive loads and have
casings that are made of epoxy coated zinc aluminum alloy |
